Kimberly affirmed her passion for dance in high school while attending the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance Summer Dance Intensive during the summers of 2008 through 2010; training under instructors such as Summer Lee Rhatigan, Alex Ketley and Bobbi Smith. While attending she was introduced to Gaga, Ohad Naharin's Movement Language which has greatly influence her approach and outlook on dance.

 

She studied under Donald McKayle and performed with his group Etude Ensemble while attending University of California, Irvine.Kimberly had the great honor of being asked to perform his earliest work, "Saturday's Child" (1948); a powerful solo in which  Countee Cullen's poem "Saturday's Child" is recited while dancing. Kimberly received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography from UCIrvine and was presented with the Excellence in Choreography award in 2014.

 

Kimberly went on to work as a performing artist in Los Angeles with companies including Jacob Jonas The Company and Project21 Dance.

 

She relocated to New York City where she continues to teach and perform around the New York community.
